The Salvation Army Is Off To The Races With First Annual “Kettle Run For Hope”
Kansas City, MO – On your mark, get set – go! The Salvation Army’s 2013 Red Kettle Campaign is off to a running start!
The first ever “Kettle Run for Hope” will be Saturday, November 23 at Zona Rosa as part of the shopping district’s “Northern Lights” holiday lighting ceremony festivities. The 5K Run and Family Fun Walk begins at 7:30 pm following the lighting ceremony. It is a timed, officially sanctioned race.
To register to participate or volunteer, go to kettlerun5k.com. The cost is $35 per person with a $5.00 discount for teams of two or more runners. The money raised from the Kettle Run for Hope will go to The Salvation Army’s Northland Community Center, located at 5306 N. Oak Trafficway, to provide assistance to families in need in the community.
