At Christmas, The Salvation Army makes the holidays brighter for tens of thousands of people in Kansas City, providing Christmas toys, gifts and holiday food baskets for families in need through programs such as:

We also offer free community Thanksgiving and Christmas Day meals and special holiday visits to homebound senior citizens. It wouldn’t be Christmas without those famous red kettles and your generous contributions at the holidays help fund our programs all year long!

The Salvation Army is pleased to announce Kansas City business and civic leader John Sherman will lead the organization’s 2013 Christmas Campaign this year.  As the Salvation Army’s 2013 Christmas Chair, Sherman will oversee a goal of $10.5 million. The money raised during the campaign funds Salvation Army programs throughout the year, including food pantries, homeless shelters, emergency assistance, substance abuse programs and more.
